The Cumberland County Republican Committee is honored to share a special project being led by the family of Debbie Keys, who continue to navigate the heartbreaking loss of their beloved mother and wife. Debbie played an integral and irreplaceable role within the Committee, serving as a Regional Director, a member of the CCRC Advisory Board, and providing oversight of the Republican House, among countless contributions. She also planned, organized, and scheduled numerous CCRC events, bringing professionalism, kindness, and unmatched dedication to everything she touched.
Debbie’s generous and loving spirit shaped not only her family but the entire CCRC community. Her commitment, leadership, and kindness left a lasting impact on volunteers, committee members, and everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Debbie’s two young granddaughters, Adelina and Emilia, were the apples of her eye. Wanting to ensure that her kindness, optimism, and nurturing heart continue to uplift others, her family has chosen a beautiful tribute in her honor.
They are adopting a room at the Lourdeshouse Maternity Home and naming it “Debbie’s Room.” Lourdeshouse provides safe, stable housing for up to one year for pregnant women and new mothers in crisis—many of whom seek refuge from domestic violence or other difficult circumstances.
The project’s goal is to transform the room into a safe, cozy, and beautifully furnished space where a mother and her baby can begin to heal and rebuild. Renovations will include warm, comforting décor, new beds, and essential furnishings to create a true sanctuary.
A meaningful part of this initiative is that every woman who stays in Debbie’s Room will be able to keep the full newborn layette provided for her.
This includes essentials such as a Pack ’n Play/bassinet, newborn care supplies, and baby clothing—items she can take with her when she moves toward independent living.
The family welcomes friends, loved ones, and community members who would like to help bring Debbie’s Room to life. There are two ways to contribute:
