December 9, 2022 (Carlisle, PA): There are opportunities for Republican candidates to run for County Commissioner, District Attorney, and Treasurer in Cumberland County in 2023.
If you, or someone you know is interested in running for office in the upcoming 2023 election, and you would like to be interviewed for endorsement consideration by the Cumberland County Republican Committee (CCRC), please contact Candidate Interview Committee Chair, Dick Stewart, at communications@gopccpa.org.
Our Candidate Interview Committee’s timeline is as follows:
- 12/9/22: Call for candidates & questionnaire emailed to interested people
- 12/15/22: Open meeting for interested potential candidates with Erik Hume, CCRC Parliamentarian, Jason Statler, CCRC Legal Counsel and Lou Capozzi, CCRC County Chairman. The meeting will take place at the Republican House (212 N. Hanover St. Carlisle, PA 17013) at 6:30pm.
- 1/1/23: Deadline for return of questionnaire
- 1/2/23: Distribution of questionnaires to individual interview committee members
- 1/9/23 through 1/12/23: Interview committee meets with candidates
- 1/14/23: ALL committee Endorsement meeting – 10AM – New Kingston Fire Company
